New Team Member!

Have you heard? Donna Phillips Travel has just welcomed our newest team member this month: Maddie! 

Keeping it in the family, I'm very happy to share that my daughter Maddie is joining the team and following in my footsteps into the wonderful world of travel.

An avid traveller herself, having visited over 40 countries already - Maddie is excited to join the team and share her travel knowledge and experiences along the way! 

So let's get to know Maddie:

Favourite things to do on holidays: Surfing, hiking, yoga and enjoying the local food & drink scene 
Some of her favourite countries: Mexico, Spain, Brazil, Sri Lanka, Bolivia and the Maldives 
Next on the list: Philippines, Japan, Hawaii, Tahiti, El Savador... the list goes on ! 
Favourite hotel: Six Sense Laamu, Maldives
Dream hotel: Nihi on Sumba, Indonesia 
Dream surf destination: Mentawais 
Favourite beach town: Puerto Escondido, Mexico 
Longest time travelling non-stop: 9 months 
Continents still to touch down on: Antarctica 

Now, Maddie is off for another long travel stint! 
She's chasing the sun in 2026, heading off to Indonesia as it starts to cool down in Brisbane and then moving to Europe in time to enjoy the height of Summer! 

So what's on her hit list in 2026?
- 2 months in Indonesia to kick things off - getting off the beaten track from the usual destinations of Seminyak, Uluwatu & Canggu; Maddie is heading to the likes of Lombok, The Gili Islands and Medewi to immerse herself in local culture, chase waves and become a certified yoga instructor. 
- Following on from this, she's off to beach hop, do some boat cruising and hike her way around the stunning island of Sardinia in Italy. 
- From here, a short stay in Amsterdam followed by enjoying the best of the Spanish islands hitting Ibiza first, followed by the quieter neighbouring island of Menorca. 
- Next she'll be travelling on a road trip through the lesser known Albania - beaching, hiking and exploring the wonderous old towns this country has to offer.
- Then onto Montenegro, another up and coming popular destination neighbouring Albania - the history, culture and stunning landscapes will be on full display.
- Lastly, finishing with a stay in the one and only Paris, with a weekend in Biarritz to get one last beach destination into her trip. 

Maddie will be sharing plenty of updates across our social media, blog and newsletter; so stay tuned to see what she gets up to and maybe discover a future travel destination along the way! We know she will have plenty of recommendations to share after her trip - that's for sure!
